How do I import data to Lime Go?
To import data you need to have Administrator permissions in Lime Go. If this is a permission you should have, turn to a current administrator in Lime Go so they can give you the right permissions.
- Go to Settings (the cogwheel in the bottom left corner)
- Go to the tab that’s called Import data
- Choose what type of data to import; import companies, import persons, import other.
- Here you can import data to your Lime Go application. With an Excel or CSV file you can match the columns one by one in the document to Lime Go’s data. To do so, follow the instructions provided.

What can I import through the import tool?
Companies
We currently support the fields:
- Company name
- Organisation number
- Company email
- Company phone number
- Visiting address
- Visiting city
- Visiting Postal Code
- Visiting Country
- Relation
- Tags
- Responsible coworker email
- ERP Id. (if you have it activated in you Lime Go application)
- Custom fields (do not support Selects or Multi-selects)

Persons
We currently support the fields:
- First name
- Last name
- Phone number
- Title/Position
- Consent to email campaigns
- Id from external system

Does Lime have to help me?
No, it’s self-service. Just drag n’ drop your Excel sheet.
Can the import tool match data with the existing data in Lime Go?
Unfortunately not. This early BETA version can only import data but not match it to data that’s already in Lime Go.
How do I match imported data with existing data in Lime Go?
After you have imported your data in Lime Go, you have to manually match it to your already existing data.
To match a Person to a company
- Find the Person card you want to match to a company by searching for it in the Global search.
- Choose the person to match.
- Click on Edit in the top right corner
- Click on Pick company
- Search after the company you want to match the person to.
- Choose the right company.
- Press Save.
- Scroll down and Save.
To match an imported company
You can find the Company card you want to match to a company by either searching for it in the Global search or from Find –> Tag – Company –> The tag you added in the Excel sheet.
- Choose the company you want to match.
- Click on Match to source data in the top right corner
- Search after the company you want to match it to.
- Choose the right company.
How many times can I import data from the import tool?
It can be done unlimited times before and while up n’ running in the app.
What is the difference between the import tool and migrations?
- Migrations are always done before you as a customer start using Lime Go.
- Migrations are performed by consultants at Lime which will take out a consultant fee.
- It takes 4-40+ hours, depending on complexity, data structure, and customer commitment.
- When you migrate data you can import the following (the data types marked in bold can also be imported by the import tool):
- Companies and your relationship status with the company
- Contacts, their contact information, and if they consent to email campaigns
- Tags
- Coworkers
- Deals
- Documents
- History notes
- Reminders and meetings
- Custom fields
How do I add custom fields to the imported data?
You have to add custom fields in the settings in Go before being able to import them (the import tool then match it to the correct data type).
Can I revert an import?
No, so take an extra look at your Excel sheet before you import it to your Lime Go application.
How do I know if it was successful?
The data will be in the app. Wait a couple of minutes if you don’t see it straight away.
How do I know if something failed?
Then you won’t see the added data.
Can you connect persons to companies?
Not at this stage unfortunately, but we’re working on it! You can connect it after the import though. See instructions above.
Can you connect coworkers to companies?
Yes, you can connect it by the coworkers email adress.
Are companies matched to Bisnode/Dun n’ Bradstreet?
Not at this stage unfortunately, but we’re working on it! This means that duplicates of already existing companies in Lime Go will be created. However, you can connect companies one at a time after the import. See instructions above.
How does the Excel guide work?
You will find a link in the setting page before you start the import where you can download the sample file, add your data an then upload the file.
I can’t find it – why?

How do I add tags?
As tags are working right now you will have to input the tags in one column, and differ the tags with a “comma”. The format should be “Tag1, Tag2, Tag3”.
